NewLife has a mission to be Love in Action for our community. One area our mission is particularly demonstrated is in our Spiritual Care ministry. Everyone needs a safe place to deal with life's struggles, and NewLife's Spiritual Care ministry team is ready to 'stand in the gap' with you.

What is Spiritual Care?

Spiritual Care is providing biblically based spiritual guidance (one-to-one conversations) to individuals for the purpose of healing, restoration, and living lives honoring to God. Spiritual Care is a context where individuals can address life’s challenging issues with another individual in an environment where they will be heard.

Are your Spiritial Care team licensed therapists?

The spiritual caregivers are NOT licensed therapists. We are defining "Spiritual Care" as distinctly different from "counseling" as provided by a licensed professional counselor or therapist. It is reasonable to anticipate that by informing the care receiver of that distinction, and by functionally giving Biblical based spiritual guidance, we are not bound by legal statues that pertain specifically to licensed professional counselors.

Is there a cost for Spiritual Care?

Like all of our ministries, Spiritual Care is free.

Do I have to be a member of NewLife to use Spiritual Care?

No, you do not have to be a member. However, sometimes due to space or personnel restrictions there might be the necessity to put an individual on a waiting list.
